Does anyone have the recipe for the indian nutty dessert called Makooti?

Its like a paste of wound up nuts i think. Last had it in india about 10 years ago and am craving it badly. Cant find it anywhere on google!Does anyone have the recipe for the indian nutty dessert called Makooti?

Makhaane Ki Kheer Recipe


Makhaane Ki Kheer is a very popular recipe. Version





Ingredients:





鈥?1 litre Full-Cream Milk


鈥?2 tbsp Ghee (clarified butter)


鈥?50 gm Makhaane (gorgon or fox nut)


鈥?陆 cup Sugar


鈥?4 Choti Elaichi (green cardamom)


鈥?10-12 Almonds (chopped)








How to make Makhaane Ki Kheer:


鈥?Heat ghee in a pan and saut茅 makhaane over a low flame. When saut茅ed, let them cool and then crush them coarsely.


鈥?Put makhaanas and milk in a deep pan, and bring the mixture to a boil. Simmer it over low flame, stirring occasionally till makhaanas get cooked and the milk thickens.


鈥?When cooked, add sugar and elaichi to the kheer. Stir to dissolve sugar and then simmer for 10-15 minutes.


鈥?Makhaane Ki Kheer is ready; garnish it with almonds before serving. Serve hot or chilled.
