Need help to find a dessert recipe using pastina al dente?

Pasta Pudding








You can add a tablespoon of raisins or diced dried fruit to this dish for added flavor. It's similar to a rice pudding type of dessert.








* 1/2 cup Italian pastina


* 1 cup heavy cream


* 1/4 cup sugar


* 1 tablespoon butter


* 1/8 tablespoon cinnamon








Cook pastina in boiling salted water until al dente.





Drain and return to saucepan.





Add in the cream and 2 tablespoons of the sugar.





Stir over low heat until hot and thickened, about 2 minutes.





Stir in butter.





Spoon into bowls.





Combine the remaining sugar and cinnamon to sprinkle over top of pudding.Need help to find a dessert recipe using pastina al dente?
Applesauce Kugel








1 pound wide egg noodles, cooked until tender, drained, rinsed


5 eggs, beaten


1/2 stick butter, cut in small pieces


1 cup golden raisins


2 tablespoons sugar


2 tablespoons sugar


1 teaspoon cinnamon


1 teaspoon salt


1 1/2 cup applesauce


1 cup non-dairy sour cream


Directions:


While noodles are draining, combine remaining . Stir into noodles.





Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spoon into greased 9-by-13-inch pan and cover with aluminum foil.





Bake in preheated oven 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 15 minutes or until noodles are firm, crisp and lightly browned. Can be served hot, slightly cooled or cold.
